As some of you know that I have struggled with the decision to have Lap band surgery or not. Well a update .On June 26 I had the Lap Band surgery. I have observed the following things that have happened since. 1) My chest/ stomach area feels like King Kong used it for a trampoline. My apatite has gone from a Ravenous black hole, to nothing. A 20 once drink that used to take.025 seconds to be gone , now takes almost three hours. Before I could eat three 40 oz bowls of soup at a sitting  more...

Congratulations! It is a big step. Stick with the rules. My doctor said "remember, we operate on your stomach, not on your head." wish I had listened to him more. A good recommendation I heard was to find a support group or counselor to go through the experience with. There used to be a great one on spotlight health and they could hook you up with a more local one as well. Best of luck!

It great to hear your doing well with it. Are you able to eat everything? Have heard that sometimes you just cant stomach certain foods anymore?
And how is the weight loss going so far?

So far been able to progress from Broth / jello to soft , pureed stuff. Progress But I would like some solid food with some texture to it, besides the texture of wall paper paste. But,alas my kingdom for a cheese burger with tater tots, or some fish ans chips with malt vinagar. OK, so far three of the 5 incisions 3 have healed nicely. the other two have gotten a little inflamed. I guess Monday I'll have to get another prescription for antibiotics.

I'm happy for you and hope for only good things for you both. You are so lucky that your insurance let you have this procedure. My insurance excludes it. :(
